Construction on a much-needed hospice facility will start mid 2020
Council is delighted to help the Fraser Coast Hospice Association Inc. by providing a peppercorn lease for the facility on 222 Urraween Road, Hervey Bay. The Federal Government has also provided a $7 million grant as part of the #HinklerRegionalDeal to build and operate the facility for three years. Congratulations to the Fraser Coast Hospice Association Inc. on their hard work and dedication to get this project off the ground!
The hospice will provide an option for people who want to spend their final days in a home-like setting.
We are excited to work in partnership with both our local council and Federal Government in this project.
